On December 12, Wreaths Across America sponsored a wreath hanging at the Pentagon Memorial - 184 wreaths placed along the fence in memory of those who were lost there on 9/11.

Pentagon Memorial Fund President, James Laychak, appeared on FOX 5 News on September 10, 2014 prior to receiving a Congressional medal that honors the Fallen Heroes of 9/11 on behalf of the Pentagon Memorial Fund. The medal will ultimately be displayed in the planned 9/11 Pentagon Visitor Education Center.

On September 10, 2014, the Washington Nationals hosted "Heroes Day" as part of their Patriotic Series. SAIC sponsored the game and the Pentagon Memorial Fund was recognized as the honored organization along with 9/11 families and first responders. WASHINGTON, Sept. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- James J. Laychak, President of the Pentagon Memorial Fund, accepted the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of the Pentagon Memorial today. The Pentagon Memorial, along with the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA and the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York received the medal honoring the men and women who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks that day.
NOTICE: ** The Pentagon Memorial will be CLOSED to the public on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 6:00AM-11:00AM for a private event. The Memorial will resume normal hours of operation and will be open to the public after that time.**
