  • Flight 93 National Memorial

    The Flight 93 National Memorial is operated and maintained by the National Park Service, and is dedicated to telling the inspiring and heroic story of Flight 93 everyday at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

  • National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center (N911MM)

    The National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center is a private not-for-profit responsible for oversight of the design, raising the necessary funds, and programming and operating the Memorial & Museum being built at the World Trade Center site. The Memorial will remember and honor the nearly 3,000 people who died in the horrific attacks of February 26, 1993, and September 11, 2001.

  • Tribute World Trade Center (WTC) Visitor Center

    Tribute WTC Visitor Center offers visitors to the World Trade Center site a place where they can connect with people from the September 11th community. Through walking tours, exhibits and programs, the Tribute WTC Visitor Center offers “Person to Person History,” linking visitors who want to understand and appreciate these historic events with those who experienced them.

  • Voices of September 11th

    Voices of September 11th (VOICES) advocates and provides information, outreach and programs to those affected by the events of September 11, 2001 and promotes public policy reform on prevention, preparedness and response to terrorism. VOICES created the 9/11 Living Memorial digital archive to commemorate the lives and stories of September 11, 2001 and the February 26, 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

  • MyGoodDeed, Inc.

    MyGoodDeed Inc. is a national nonprofit organization that led the successful seven-year effort, culminating in 2009, to establish September 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance. Today, MyGoodDeed oversees, on behalf of the 9/11 community, this historic observance, working with many organizations to build public participation and support. The overall mission of the group is to honor the victims of 9/11 and those who rose to service in response to the attacks, by encouraging all Americans and others throughout the world to pledge to voluntarily perform at least one good deed, or another service activity, on 9/11 each year.

  • Smithsonian National Museum of American History

    The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History dedicates its collections and scholarship to inspiring a broader understanding of our nation and its many peoples. They create opportunities for learning, stimulate imaginations, and present challenging ideas about our country’s past. The Division of Armed Forces History is responsible for September 11: Bearing Witness to History, a virtual exhibition that presents a compelling selection of objects, images, and personal stories from that unforgettable day.

  • Verizon Thinkfinity

    Thinkfinity is the cornerstone of Verizon Foundation’s literacy, education and technology initiatives. Their goal is to improve student achievement in traditional classroom settings and beyond by providing high-quality content and extensive professional development training.

  • George Mason University, Center for History and New Media

    Since 1994, the Center for History and New Media (CHNM) at George Mason University has used digital media and computer technology to democratize history—to incorporate multiple voices, reach diverse audiences, and encourage popular participation in presenting and preserving the past. The CHNM has created The September 11 Digital Archive to collect, preserve, and present the history of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. It has become the leading digital repository of material related to the events of 9/11/2001 and includes more than 150,000 first-hand accounts, emails, images, and other digital materials.

  • StoryCorps

    StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives. In 2005, StoryCorps began a special initiative to honor and remember the stories and people affected by the events of September 11, 2001.

  • September 11th National Memorial Trail Alliance

    The September 11th National Memorial Trail is being established as a National Historic Trail on the tenth anniversary of September 11, 2001 and will be a tribute to all those that perished in America’s single worse terrorist attack. The establishment of a hiking, biking and driving trail will provide a physical linkage between the three memorials commemorating the tragic events that occurred at the World Trade Center, Pentagon and in Shanksville.  The trail will serve as a symbol of the resiliency and character of the communities in which the victims and their families lived and worked. The Alliance is a not-for-profit, 501 (c) 3 organization.
