The Pentagon Memorial Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the 184 lives lost at the Pentagon and aboard American Airlines Flight 77 on September 11, 2001. The Fund was established in 2003 for the purposes of raising the resources necessary to construct the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial which was dedicated on September 11, 2008 – making it the first of the three national attack sites to be completed. We strive to transform a place of quiet mourning into a living place of national understanding.

While the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial draws over one million visitors annually, it has long lacked an indoor facility to provide essential historical context. To bridge this critical educational gap, the Pentagon Memorial Fund is spearheading the development of the Visitor Education Center (VEC).

Designed as the final chapter of the 9/11 narrative, the VEC will focus on America’s resilient response, capturing how the nation mobilized and moved forward in the cause of freedom.
